Data Procurement Manager


CARFAX Europe GmbH provides trusted information that helps millions of people to shop, buy, own and sell used cars with more confidence. Our flagship service is our Vehicle History Report, a curriculum vitae for used vehicles, to solve the asymmetric information problem in the used car market. Our customers get access to an extensive multinational database consisting of +27 billion historical records related to over 1 billion cars in +20 countries across Europe and North America.

Today, we are a team of 100+ people in six European countries – while retaining a start-up feeling, including flat hierarchies and flexible decision-making processes.

As Data Procurement Manager, you are responsible for developing new vehicle data partnerships as well as strengthening and growing existing partnerships in the public and private sector in Europe.

Job Function

  • Identify, contact and negotiate agreements for access to public and private sector vehicle data

  • Develop strategies to identify new vehicle-related data partnerships

  • Identify potential partners and their decision makers, secure meetings with them and introduce CARFAX models

  • Negotiate contract terms that protect and grow the products, financial interests and resources of CARFAX

  • Support the efforts of other CARFAX departments and work on cross-functional teams Represent CARFAX at various conferences

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with private and public sector data providers and establish strategic partnerships


  • Bachelor’s Degree, with 3-5 years of business development experience

  • Experienced in answering objections and creating win-win situations, while being persistent in attempt to achieve stated goals and objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations, strategy documents, status reports, and correspondence in clear, concise, persuasive writing

  • Proven ability to define and communicate objective measurements to support strategic and tactical goals, including documenting, tracking and communicating the progress of assigned activities

  • Ability to travel as required by the position (up to 10-20%)

  • Auto industry knowledge is also highly desirable
