Scrum Master
(m/f/d) CARFAX Europe GmbH provides trusted information that helps millions of people to shop, buy, own and sell used cars with more confidence. Our flagship service is our Vehicle History Report, a curriculum vitae for used vehicles, to solve the asymmetric information problem in the used car market. Our customers get access to an extensive multinational database consisting of +27 billion historical records related to over 1 billion cars in +20 countries across Europe and North America. Today, we are a team of 100+ people in six European countries – while retaining a start-up feeling, including flat hierarchies and flexible decision-making processes. We are a dynamic and open-minded IT team with system administrators, software developers, and data analysts with a full DevOps oriented working style mindset. Our goal is to ensure high standards of quality through continuous optimization. As a Scrum Master (f/m) you will be responsible for helping development teams optimize and deliver more value while they are building applications around these extensive data sets. Our teams are as diverse as our data sources. CARFAX is proud to be a truly international company with employees from over 20 different nationalities. We are a team of currently just over 100 employees, with about half of them working in IT – and we are growing! Our headquarters are in Munich, where we speak English as our common language. You should also feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and opinions in this language.
Your tasks:
Fill the Scrum Master role for two of our product development teams
Driving, as a "Servant Leader", the process of lean thinking, to continuously improve the quality, productivity and creativity of software development
Coach and mentor of product owners and team members of our agile product development teams
Promote continuous communication and collaboration between our development teams
Help the teams and our organization focus on continual improvement – either at the team level, the product level, or our organization as a whole
Your profile:
Several years of experience as Scrum Master and a solid understanding of the Scrum Framework
Experience working with scaled agile frameworks like LeSS as well as knowledge of other agile methodologies such as Kanban or Lean Start-Up preferable
Experience working with software development teams, in a start-up / start-up “like” environment
Completed studies (University/ University of Applied Sciences)
Fluency in English, German or another language is a plus
Independent working style and a “can do”-attitude
Flexibility and strong communication skills
