Compared to all used cars in Poland, Mercedes-Benzes stand out for their relatively low damage rate – 46% of units compared to 78% for the total vehicle base – and their fuel mix – as many as half are diesels. Every fifth Mercedes-Benz car in Poland is a C-Class vehicle, and 18% are E-Class models, according to CARFAX data. Celebrating its centenary, the Mercedes-Benz brand has long been a symbol of durability and status. The average vehicle on Polish roads is 17 years old and has 223,000 kilometers on the clock.

In 2026, Mercedes celebratesa number of anniversaries , including the 140th anniversary of the automobile, counted from the moment Carl Benz filed a patent for a three-wheeled vehicle with an internal combustion engine, as well as the 100th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz brand, created from the merger of Benz & Cie. and Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft. The company's Polish branch was founded 30 years ago. Mercedes-Benz ranksseventh among brands most frequently registered for the first time in Poland in 2025. The company also enjoys success in the secondary market – in the CARFAX database of over 21 million used cars in Poland, Mercedes-Benz models account for just over 4 percent.

In Poland, the most popular and oldest Mercedes cars are the C-Class models. Of all Mercedes-Benzes in the Polish CARFAX database, they account for 21 percent. They are on average 21 years old, and their average mileage is 252,000 kilometers. The following vehicles are in the next most popular positions:

  • Class E – 18 percent; average 20 years and 280,000 kilometers;

  • Class A – 12 percent; average age: 18 years and 186,000 kilometers;

Mercedes in Poland are distinguished by a high percentage of diesel engines

Mercedes cars are similar to the overall market in terms of age, number of owners, and imports, but differ in fuel consumption and the percentage of reported damage. The average used Mercedes in Poland is 17 years old and has had three owners, which is not significantly different from the average for the entire vehicle fleet in our country (16 years and 2.9 owners). Its average mileage is 223,000 kilometers (the average for all cars is 206,000 kilometers). Imports account for 65% of the vehicles – the same percentage as the overall fleet.

As many as 49% are equipped with diesel engines, 42% are petrol-powered. Hybrids account for 7%, and electric cars for 1%. In this respect, Mercedes-Benzes clearly differ from the other cars in the database, which are dominated by petrol vehicles (56%) and diesels (37%). They also have a lower percentage of accident-related vehicles, with 46% having a history of damage, compared to 78% of all used cars in Poland.
