CARFAX launches Insights Portal for Automotive Journalists

With the "Used Car Market Insights" CARFAX provides unique insights into the international used car market (Munich, June 10th 2021) – CARFAX, which specializes in used car history has nearly 30 billion entries on more than one billion vehicles from Europe and North America. The world's largest database of its kind offers unique insights into the international used car market. CARFAX is now making these available to journalists in particular. For the launch of the "Used Car Market Insights" CARFAX is dedicated to the exports of used cars from the USA to the rest of the world. Based on three different time periods (last 12 months, last year and last 5 years), CARFAX shows the number of exports form the U.S. to the rest of the world. Additionally, it provides the option to view which countries were sent the most vehicles with risks such as pre-damage, accidents and other value and safety related problems – plus which of these risks were the most common. It also provides information on the most exported vehicle brands. Click here for Used Car Market Insights: https://public.tableau.com/profile/carfax.business.intelligence#!/vizhome/CARFAXUsedCarMarketInsights/main. Tip: Bookmark it, the data is updated once a month, on demand also adhoc! This data can be displayed not only for larger regions, but also for individual countries. Thus, it is possible to get insights into the situation of specific countries. CARFAX offers to show the tool to all interested journalists in a personal meeting (e.g. via video conference) and to explain how to utilize the tool. "With the Used Car Market Insights we offer a unique service to journalists throughout Europe. CARFAX is the market leader for used car histories and with our new tool we want to support journalists in developing exciting, data-driven stories and background reports," explains Marcel Rotzoll, PR Specialist at CARFAX Europe. The Used Car Market Insights do not show absolute numbers or percentages, but values that are relative to the highest data point. Thus, the value 100 stands for the highest data point and the value 50 represents the data quantity that corresponds to half of the highest data point. This allows trends and developments for entire regions and individual countries to be quickly recorded and put into perspective. Upon request, CARFAX will be happy to provide journalists with additional and more detailed data.
